Every year, I choose a word to help guide me through the year.
This year, I have chosen the word Emerge.

This post put the word in my mind.
I toyed with other possible words for the year but kept coming back to Emerge.

I googled the word and came across this image.
"She Hoped To Emerge A New Woman" struck me as the perfect description.
That's exactly what I hope for in 2012.

I hope to Emerge in 2012 as a
healthier,
happier,
more secure,
successful,
organized,
better
me.

What's your Word of the year?

I think it is a great choice for the Word of the Year, and I think it really fits you too :-) I think my word of the year is going to be Change...I just don't feel right about "committing" to it right now. I know, it's sad...but I'm messed up in the head :-) I'm so proud of you Ter! (((HUGS)))

I love it!!! It's going to be fun watching you emerge this year. Can't wait to see what comes of it! :)

My word/phrase/sentiment is betterment. I want to be a better me (work out more, eat better, take more me time and NOT feel guilty, keep in contact with friends better), better mom(less yelling, more playing, more teaching, more fun), and a better wife (better communication, more cooking). I'm going to be selfish and work on the me things first. I know that if I feel better about myself, the others will start to fall into place naturally and will make others around me more happy.

Very nice word! It seems you are already emerging...am I wrong? I'm with you on the weight battle...I lost 30 lbs. last year but each day is a challenge...I've never been a thin person. Keep it up. You can do it!

Well, from surfing your blog I think this is definitely a good word for you. I wish you the best of luck in allowing this word to inspire you. I say, allow, because personally I have adopted words before but never opened myself up to fully "going there". It is not always easy to emerge but definitely worth the journey! I chose the word, Shift, as you know. I am hoping that the subtlety of this word will allow me to consider even the small points. Anyway, I am your newest follower. Love to hook up with fellow Canadian bloggers. Hope you drop on over again some time.
