Every time I went to my basement to get something from the deep freeze,
I had to walk around this yard sale pile.
So irritating!

The other day as I was waiting for my washer to finish the final spin
I was looking at this pile in disgust.
I began to wonder if it could be moved somewhere out of the way.
As I looked around the basement, I thought about the club house behind my stairs.
In five years since we lived here, we have never used it. It was a small and dark space.
Then I had a light bulb moment, quite literally!
I remembered this clip on lamp and I went to get it.
When I turned it on, it was like finding another whole room in my house!
I never knew the club house was so big!
(for such a small space)
Look at all that room!
This is why we call it a club house.
It has a door and a window.
The child who lived here previously drew on the walls,
and there are stickers too.
(babybear would've loved it)
I was able to fit all the yard sale stuff in here,
with room to spare!

You know, I actually have a recurring dream that I find a secret room in my house and now you've actually gone and found one!
I wish I could find some extra space like that. Here in California, most of our houses don't have basements (or adequate attics!). I would love to find a bit of space like that!

What a fun space to find! I would love extra storage like that. Our washer & dryer fill a closet beneath our stairs, but there is a little extra space. Thinking of knocking a hole in the wall there and making a spot for the cats' litter box so we can get it out of the hallway.
I've had many dreams where I suddenly find more room in my house ... sadly, only dreams! How fun for you!
