It was -39C (or -38.2F) with the windchill when this photo was taken.
I don't know why the horses weren't inside their barn where it was warm!

Horses are nuts like that lol. Ours never go in the barn on their own. As long as they are healthy and have food and water...silly things =)

I think they must just have very thick hides that keep them warm...same with cows. I can hear horses from my backyard but can't see them! LOL...good photo.
